EUROPEAN CITIES AGAINST SCHOOL SEGREGATION
INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS FOR REDUCING SCHOOL SEGREGATION IN EUROPEAN CITIES
ECASS is designed as a knowledge exchange project between academic experts in the area of educational inclusion and school segregation studies and local policymakers to design, test and apply innovative solutions for tackling school segregation at the local level.
TRAINING MATERIALS
Policies and strategies to prevent, limit or manage the effects of school segregation. Units of this module report evidences from scientific research and practices from different contexts within and outside Europe.
INFORMATION POLICIES
School segregation is also reproduced because of the different type of information that families have access to. These differences are partly the result of the different choice rationalities.
EUROPEAN GUIDELINES
The implementation and testing of policy innovations in the three cities will feed the elaboration of a document that will contain strategic guidelines to tackle school segregation for local and regional policymakers in Europe.
COVID & SEGREGATION
The pandemic has caused drastic effects on schools’ everyday life. ECASS has developed a detailed analysis on the specific effects of Covid-19 in education in the three cities of the project.
